Touch a Truck returned to Chapel Hill on Sunday, April 26th, and the Friday Center Park & Ride lot filled up with more than forty vehicles for families to climb on and explore.
We were glad to be there as a Diamond Sponsor. It is the kind of afternoon that brings the whole community out, and the good it does carries well past the day itself.

A Day Built for Families
There is nothing quite like watching a kid climb up into the cab of an excavator for the first time. Construction equipment, fire trucks, military transports, motorcycles, buses — more than forty of them filled the lot, and every one had a line.
In between the trucks there was face painting, balloon animals, bounce houses, and Pinewood Derby races going all afternoon. When the helicopter came in to land, the whole lot stopped to watch.
Why This One Matters to Us
Being part of a community means more than doing good work on the job site. It means showing up for the events and the people who make these places what they are — and in this case, for the families at UNC Children’s Hospital that the day was raising money for.
