Celebrating Excellence at the BEA’s 

At Gonzalez Painters and Contractors, we take great pride in our commitment to excellence and our dedication to serving our community. Recently, we had the honor of being nominated as a finalist for The Large Business of the Year Award at the prestigious 2023 Business Excellence Awards organized by The Chamber for a Greater Chapel Hill – Carrboro. Although we didn’t take home the award, the recognition and the experience were truly remarkable. We congratulate and recognize the other businesses in our category, Chapel Hill Tire & Jersey Mike’s Subs. We are thrilled to share this exciting news as a finalist with our valued customers and supporters.

A Day of Business Celebration 

The Business Excellence Awards ceremony took place at the Post No. 6 American Legion in Chapel Hill, NC. It was a remarkable event that showcased the achievements and contributions of 21 exceptional businesses from our local community. Being selected as a finalist among such distinguished companies was a testament to our unwavering dedication and commitment to our craft.

Community Involvement and Outreach 

One of the reasons we received this honorable nomination was our active involvement in community outreach initiatives. In early 2023, we organized a charity silent auction that raised over $18,000 to benefit two incredible organizations, Hope Renovations and Habitat for Humanity of Orange County. This meaningful contribution, along with our ongoing community outreach efforts, reflects our deep-rooted commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of others.

Notable Attendees and Gratitude

The evening was graced by the presence of esteemed guests, including U.S. State Representative Valerie Foushee and the President and CEO of the Chamber of Commerce, Aaron Nelson. Their attendance further underscored the significance of this event and the outstanding achievements of the businesses involved.

Being recognized as a finalist for The Large Business of the Year Award at the Business Excellence Awards was a tremendous honor for Gonzalez Painters and Contractors.
